I came across the mention of a "VOWS" team involved in apprehending the suspect, and I had to dig a little deeper. For those who may not be familiar, it stands for the Violent Offender Warrant Squad. From what I gather, their involvement means they take these cases very seriously and are dedicated to bringing justice for victims like Kelly. In a world where it sometimes feels like justice can be elusive, it’s somewhat reassuring to see such specialized teams working with other agencies to take dangerous individuals off the streets. I can't even imagine what Kelly's family is going through right now, but I hope this effort brings them one step closer to closure. If anyone has more details about the role the VO W S played in this case, I'd be interested to know how they operate within such a complex investigation.
