I’ve been thinking a lot about the community’s response in Oakdale to Ty Rakestraw's tragic death and how deeply it's affected everyone around him. It's clear from how people have come together, offering support and sharing memories, that he was a loved and cherished member of the community. The local vigils and gatherings show a strong community spirit, almost like a big family mourning together. You can feel the sense of loss not just in his immediate circle but throughout the town. It makes me wonder how such a close-knit community can begin to heal after such an unexpected and senseless act. If anyone knows of organizations or community groups doing work in Ty's memory or places where contributions or help can be given, please share. Keeping his family and friends in my thoughts.
