I've been thinking about how Jay's daughter, little Zureigh, is coping with all this. At just a year old, she’ll grow up without memories of her father, which is just devastating to think about. It’s heartwarming yet bittersweet to see how Jay’s family and the Natchitoches community have been supporting her—knowing that they’ll ensure she knows how much her dad loved her and the kind of person he was. Community support makes such a difference, especially for those left behind, but it also makes me feel the urgency for justice even more. I can’t imagine how hard it must be for the family, especially knowing the people responsible are still out there. If anyone knows anything, even the smallest detail, please consider coming forward. Let’s hope for a resolution soon, both for Jay’s family and for Zureigh’s future.
