Just stumbled upon Erik Thomas Ruiz's case and something's been bugging me about the discovery of his personal belongings in Lamar County months after he vanished. It's interesting how his cell phone was found just days after he went missing, yet other belongings showed up much later and in a different county altogether. Could this suggest that whoever is involved might be local to both Marion and Lamar counties, or at least familiar with these remote areas? It's almost as if someone was trying to spread out the evidence to confuse the investigation or buy some time. Also, does anyone know if there were any significant weather events that might have caused delays or complications in searching these areas initially? If family or friends are checking these threads, sending thoughts and hoping for answers soon.

I’ve been following Erik Thomas Ruiz’s case closely and something’s been nagging at me since I first heard about it. I find the discovery of his cell phone really puzzling. It was found by hunters in a wooded area in Marion County just days after he vanished. Why would it be there unless he was too? And if he was, how did it end up there? Did someone purposely ditch it to throw off the investigation, or did Erik try to make a call from that location and drop it? I can't help but wonder if it holds more clues than what’s already been found. It feels like this phone could play a huge role in piecing together what really happened. What are your thoughts on this aspect of the case?
