I’ve been thinking a lot about the rally that was held for Rana Jones back in December 2009. It’s hard to believe it’s been so long, and still so little progress has been made in her case. The fact that neighbors heard screams that night and yet we’re still here without answers feels incredibly frustrating and unjust. Rana was a single mom just trying to make it through life like so many of us, and she deserved so much better. The rally was a powerful moment—seeing the community come together with such determination and passion. We shouldn’t let Rana’s story fade away; we owe it to her to keep fighting for justice and for change in how violence, especially against women in marginalized communities, is addressed. It’s disheartening to feel overlooked and forgotten by the system, but I truly believe that if we keep pushing and keeping her memory alive, we can make a difference. Let's keep talking about Rana and her story, and keep putting pressure where it's needed until her killer is found.

It's been so many years, and yet Rana Jones’ family still hasn’t found the justice they deserve. I can't imagine the pain and frustration they must feel every day in the absence of answers about what happened to her. Her case makes me think about how many similar tragedies don't get the attention they need from the authorities. It’s truly concerning that, even after such a public demand for action back in 2009, there haven't been any significant breakthroughs. I do wonder if there could be some new technology or methods available today that weren't back then, which could help solve her case. Does anyone know if her case is being looked into again with modern techniques, like DNA testing advancements? It seems like they might have more resources now than in the past. To Rana’s friends and family: we’re still here, supporting you and hoping for a resolution. You’re in our thoughts.

Has anyone else been following the case of Rana Jones? I can't stop thinking about the screams her neighbors heard on that tragic night. It’s devastating to think that someone might have heard her last moments and yet we're still without answers. It just seems so haunting to imagine the fear she must have felt, and my heart goes out to her kids who’ve had to grow up without their mom. What’s even more troubling is how this case has seemingly slipped through the cracks. The community really rallied for Rana after her passing, demanding justice and safety, yet here we are, almost 14 years later and still no closer to finding out who did this. It makes you wonder what more can be done to make sure cases like this don't just get shelved and forgotten. If anyone is in Boston or has connections in Dorchester, is there still active dialogue about Rana's case there? It would be great to see more awareness generated to keep the pressure on solving her murder. Her family deserves answers.
