I've been following Wayne Martin’s case closely, and I'm struck by how resilient and supportive the Marrero community has been throughout this nightmare. It's devastating that violence seems to be tearing through the neighborhood, leaving so many families wondering what’s next. Wayne was just someone going about his life, but now he’s gone. I read about how he used to cook at Papa John's and Zea, places where people gather for food and laughter. It’s so hard to wrap my head around the fact that someone who brought joy to others can't do that anymore. Neighborhood safety is obviously on everyone's minds, and it’s sad that some feel compelled to leave because of rising violence. Hoping the authorities can get a grip on the situation and restore a sense of security for the community. Sending love to Wayne’s family and friends during this turbulent time.
