I recently came across the story of Thomas Schweig, and it left me thinking a lot about the mental and emotional toll the job of a police officer must have on their families. Can you imagine the fear and anxiety Jennie and their kids lived with every time Thomas was on shift? It can't have been easy knowing the risks he faced daily, and I truly empathize with the loved ones he left behind. Given that his murderers were never brought to justice, I wonder how they coped with that unresolved anguish. It must have been incredibly difficult for them, and I hope they eventually found some peace. I'd love to hear if anyone has more information about how his family managed in the years after such a tragic loss.
