Has anyone else been intrigued by the valentine left at Machine Gun Jack McGurn's murder scene? It's chilling to think about the mockery behind it. It's almost as if his killers wanted to send a message to everyone in the mob world. It's bizarre, considering Valentine's Day is tied to love, but this was just pure malice. McGurn certainly made his share of enemies, but it's a somber reminder of how these mob ties come back in such dark ways. I can’t imagine the pain his family went through having to see his legacy end like that, reduced to a haunting gesture. It really makes you think about how these figures, despite their notoriety, lived in constant fear and danger. Such a turbulent time in Chicago's history. Anyone have thoughts on who might have orchestrated this eerie send-off for him?
