I was looking over David Cottle's case and something about it is really sticking with me. Does anyone else think there's something significant about that journal and backpack he took with him? It seems like he took those specific items for a purpose, but what could it have been? Given that he was known to hang out in the woods nearby, it makes me wonder if he was planning on documenting something there or if he was carrying supplies for a longer trek. I mean, a backpack and a journal could suggest he intended to be away for a while, maybe for some kind of personal exploration or reflection? Or am I just overthinking it? It's puzzling that after all the searches in the woods, they found no sign of him or those items. Maybe he knew the area well enough to avoid being spotted, or he had plans to meet someone elsewhere? Just curious if anyone else has insights or theories about what role those items could play in the mystery.
