It’s so frightening to think about how this tragedy happened in broad daylight, right in what’s supposed to be the safety of our neighborhoods. What’s really sticking with me is how Lloyd Payne, a young guy who everybody described as full of life and positivity, didn’t seem to have any dangerous connections or enemies. I can’t imagine how his family feels, especially with no answers or justice so far. It makes me wonder if there was something completely random or mistaken about this attack. It could’ve been anyone. For those who knew Lloyd, I hope they find some peace, but this must be incredibly hard with so many unanswered questions hanging over them. It’s just a reminder that we should push for more community programs that address violence directly, but also build closer ties so things like this can’t fly under the radar so easily. Stay safe out there, everyone.
