I've been thinking a lot about the investigation into Emmanuel Louissaint's tragic passing, particularly how things were conducted right from the start. It's devastating enough that such a young life was lost, but the handling of the crime scene is just bewildering. How could they have not found Nervin Charlot's body until two days later right across the street? This oversight must be incredibly painful for the families involved, knowing there might have been more pieces to the puzzle from the beginning.
It really makes me question what resources or protocols were in place—or maybe not in place—when the crime scene was initially assessed. Dorchester has been crying out for attention regarding these violent incidents, and this mishandling seems like salt in the wound. My heart goes out to the families who have to endure this added confusion alongside their grief. How can a community heal when basic investigative procedures seem lacking?
