I’ve been reflecting on the resilience of Eduardo Sanchez, the employee who was tied up but ultimately spared by Tapia. It's hard to imagine the terror he must have felt during those moments, and how it must weigh on him now to have survived when others didn't. I hope he has had a strong support system to help him heal from this ordeal. It’s not just the victims who were physically harmed who suffer—survivors like Eduardo face their own kind of trauma. We so often focus on the people who were killed (as we should), but it’s also important to remember those who live with the memories and the survivor's guilt. I hope he’s found peace and healing over the years. Sending supportive thoughts to him and all the families affected by that terrible day.
