I recently came across a piece about Catalina Garcia, and I haven't been able to stop thinking about her family. I can't imagine the pain of losing a daughter and sister in such a violent way. From what I've read, Catalina was a beacon of positivity and had big dreams of becoming a teacher. I keep wondering how her siblings are coping. It must be incredibly difficult, especially knowing that their little sister had so much ahead of her. I hope they have a strong support system around them. It's hard not to feel an overwhelming sense of sadness as we think about what Catalina would have accomplished. I hope that sharing her story can help us all reflect on the importance of addressing the issues of campus safety and mental health. Anyone else have thoughts on how we can support victims' families in situations like these?
