Does anyone else find it deeply unsettling how Joey Jones was out and about, committing such violent acts in quick succession? It's terrifying to think about how quickly lives can be shattered. I can't even begin to imagine the pain that Omar Maslat's family must be going through after that horrific encounter over what should have been a mundane, everyday moment at the convenience store. And to think that just hours later, Jones allegedly attacked Brion Payne, putting another family through such trauma. It really makes you question what drives a person to such extremes. Holding those responsible to account is crucial, but also understanding the underlying issues that lead to such violence is something we, as a community, should discuss. My thoughts are with both families, especially with the Maslats, who must be feeling such a profound loss.
