It’s been over nine years since Leonore Draper was taken from this world, and I’m still moved by her commitment to making Chicago a safer place. It's so cruel that someone who was actively trying to stop violence became its victim. I recently came across an article highlighting the vigils held in her honor, and it’s clear how much she meant to everyone who knew her. It amazes me how communities come together in times of grief, and I'm hopeful these gatherings keep her mission alive. What gets me is the lack of closure. For her family, especially her husband, Jason, not having answers must be incredibly painful. Keeping this case in the public eye is essential until justice is served. Does anyone have thoughts on how unsolved cases like Leonore’s can still be pushed forward? We owe it to her memory to keep seeking justice.
