Has anyone else been following the Kenneth Leslie case from Bridgeport, Washington? There's something that's been nagging at me. I can't stop thinking about how the boat and some of his equipment were found five miles downstream. It's such a hefty distance for things to drift or be swept by the current. Does anyone know what the currents are like on that section of the Columbia River? I've read that river currents can be pretty unpredictable, and I'm wondering if there's any chance he might have made it to shore somewhere further downstream. Sometimes objects and even people end up miles from where an incident occurs. It's baffling and frustrating how those currents work, isn't it? Maybe checking further downstream could uncover some sort of clue that was missed. Thoughts on this? Would love to hear from people with experience in river rescues or similar cases.
