Has anyone else been following the case of Corey Hudson? It's just so frustrating and sad that there still hasn't been justice served. One thing I keep thinking about is how difficult it must be for his family, especially with the lack of witnesses coming forward. I can’t imagine the pain of losing a loved one like that and feeling like no one is willing to help solve it. It's understandable that people might be scared to speak up, but I wish there was a way to make them feel safe enough to do so. Sending strength and solidarity to Corey's loved ones. They shouldn't have to go through this alone. Does anyone know if there have been any community efforts to encourage tips or new ways to support the investigation?
Hey everyone, I’ve been following Corey Hudson’s case since it happened, and something that’s been on my mind is the role community members and leaders play in these situations. Knowing how proactive the West Englewood neighborhood has been in trying to combat violence, it’s perplexing and deeply troubling how these horrifying incidents continue to occur. I’m sure the family feels this even more.
It seems like the community was trying to make strides with various programs and initiatives before this violent weekend erupted. Have any other locals seen changes, or do you think there are steps that might make a real difference? Understanding Corey’s case within the larger context of the ongoing violence in Chicago, could there be more or different community-led efforts to prevent such tragedies?
I can only imagine the pain Corey's family and friends continue to endure, and it’s so important we don’t let this slip into the shadows. Let’s keep supporting them and raising awareness. Maybe with enough public attention, someone might come forward with that vital piece of information that can help bring justice for Corey. Would appreciate hearing more thoughts from the community. Stay safe, everyone.
I’ve been following Corey Hudson’s case closely, and what really sticks with me is the impact this incident has had on the local community in West Englewood. It’s absolutely devastating that a simple outing with a friend could turn into such a tragedy. This neighborhood has seen far too much of this kind of violence, and it seems like it’s so hard to break the cycle. I can’t even imagine what Corey’s family is going through, facing this kind of loss without answers or justice. It's particularly disturbing how the community is often hesitant to come forward with information, possibly out of fear or distrust. It makes me wonder what more could be done to build trust between law enforcement and residents so that they can work together to prevent future tragedies and maybe encourage those with information to speak up. My heart goes out to everyone affected by this senseless act.
