I've been thinking a lot about Christopher Kearns' case lately—and how tough it must be for his family to not have answers after all this time. What really gets me is the fact that despite the intense focus from the Violent Crime Task Force, there's still seemingly no direction on who could be responsible for this. I can't even imagine how frustrating and painful this must be. It's especially confusing since the authorities have ruled out gang ties, which would seem like the simplest explanation given the spike in gun violence around then.
Does anyone else think there might be a possible connection to someone he knew or a personal conflict? It just seems odd that nothing has surfaced if it wasn't related to the broader violence. If anyone in the area remembers anything from that night, even if it feels insignificant, I really urge you to share it with the police. Christopher's family deserves to know what happened, and staying silent only helps the person responsible continue to evade justice.
