Lonnie Green, a 60-year-old U.S. Navy veteran, disappeared from his brother’s home in the Hill District of Pittsburgh on the evening of December 4, 2014. The family says the night began ordinarily while they watched television; without warning Lonnie stood, walked out the front door, and vanished. In the days after, his phone showed no activity, his finances were untouched, and his rent went unpaid. He was described as Black / African American, 5 feet 10 inches to 5 feet 11 inches tall, 240–245 pounds, with a tattoo of praying hands on his shoulder.

The Bellevue Borough Police Department opened an investigation but encountered few leads: there were no signs of foul play and no apparent reason he would leave. Years have passed and the case has grown cold, though the investigation continues and the family remains hopeful. If anyone has information about Lonnie’s whereabouts or recalls seeing him in Pittsburgh after December 4, 2014, please come forward.
