Hey everyone, I’ve been following Joseph Burdine’s case and something that really struck me was the response of his community. It's clear that Joseph was surrounded by love, but it seems like his neighborhood has been experiencing a lot of turmoil for years. The tearing down of housing projects seems to have displaced a lot of people and potentially increased the violence in areas like Wrightwood. It’s so disheartening to see how these big systemic changes have such a profound impact on individuals and communities. How are neighborhoods supposed to heal and feel safe when there’s such upheaval? My heart goes out to everyone who’s been affected by this tragedy. We need more initiatives that genuinely support these communities rather than just push problems from one area to another. Anyone else have thoughts on community initiatives or stories about how neighborhoods have worked through similar situations?
