I was reading about Carlos F. Marino's case, and something that keeps sticking with me is the lack of any significant leads in such a busy neighborhood like Wicker Park. It's puzzling how no one saw or heard more that could help the investigation. Given the time it happened—1:45 a.m.—it seems like there would've been some activity, or maybe even surveillance footage that could provide clues or at least identify the assailant. My heart goes out to Carlos’s family and friends, having to live with this uncertainty for so long. It's so frustrating when violence takes place, and the answers seem out of reach. I'm hoping that by keeping this conversation alive, someone who knows something might finally come forward. Has there been any community effort or campaign to try and raise more awareness about this case? Sometimes putting a spotlight on a case again can shake loose new information.
