Does anyone else find it interesting how community activism played a role in keeping Demetrius Bottom's case alive over the years? In many instances, cases go cold, but it looks like the efforts from those vigils and marches organized by his peers in Chatham have been instrumental. It's really inspiring to see a community come together like that, and it's a testament to how much Demetrius meant to them. He obviously touched a lot of lives if there's still a drive for justice so many years later. Honestly, it gives me hope that these communal efforts can make a difference. Fingers crossed that the continued pressure helps uncover new leads and brings some peace to his family. If anyone has updates or knows more about the recent developments, please share!

I’ve been thinking a lot about the lack of eyewitnesses in Demetrius Bottom’s case, and it really highlights a bigger issue that many communities face. It’s so disheartening to see how fear and intimidation can silence witnesses who might have crucial information. I can’t even imagine how frustrating it must be for his family and everyone who cared about him, wanting justice but feeling like their hands are tied. Is there anything that can be done to help protect witnesses and encourage them to come forward? It seems like such a crucial step in breaking the cycle of violence. My thoughts are with Demetrius's loved ones, who must be yearning for answers and some semblance of peace.
