It was such a devastating day for the Roseland neighborhood when William Drake and Briona White were taken from their community. One thing that really sticks with me is how the residents immediately stepped up to help them right after the shooting. It’s a testament to the close-knit nature of the community, and how people come together in times of need despite the dangers. It must have been terrifying to hear those gunshots and then rush to their aid, trying to perform CPR and calling emergency services. The courage and humanity shown by their neighbors is deeply moving amidst such a tragic situation. I can't imagine how their families are feeling right now, losing both William and Briona so suddenly and violently. The fact that there still haven’t been any arrests or clear answers must only add to their pain. I hope the community continues to support them and that the police can find some leads soon. It’s a reminder of how senseless violence leaves lasting scars, not just on families, but on everyone around. Sending thoughts and strength to all who knew and loved these two young individuals.
