Just wanted to share some thoughts about Carlous A. Wires and the impact he had on the Quincy community. I didn’t know him personally, but from everything I've read, he seemed like such a positive force in the lives of those around him. It’s hard not to feel a sense of loss just reading about his involvement with the YMCA and the Cathedral of Worship. Being both a referee and a DJ, he really brought people together in so many different settings. I keep thinking about how many lives he must have touched with his love for basketball and sharing those precious moments at BBQs or in Bible study. It's really tragic to think of all the good he could have continued to do. I hope justice is truly served, and Carlous' family, especially his widow Vivian, find some peace. Community is everything, and it’s clear Quincy lost a truly special person. Sending thoughts and support to everyone who knew and loved him.

I've been thinking a lot about the role Carlous played in his community and how much that truly tells us about him as a person. From all accounts, he seemed like the kind of guy who wore many hats: coaching at the YMCA, hosting events as a DJ, and even serving as an usher at his church. It's clear he was loved and respected by many, and his diverse contributions must have left a positive mark on those around him. It's incredibly sad to think about how this senseless act of violence took away someone who gave so much of himself to others. What's been on my mind is how his presence is missed in so many small, everyday ways—like those fun gatherings where Carlous would probably be at the grill, or the basketball games he might have officiated. The people who relied on him for these wonderful community moments have lost not just a leader, but a friend. My heart goes out to his family and friends who have to carry on without him, and I deeply hope they'll find some solace as they continue to seek justice in his memory.

I’ve been following this case since the beginning, and it's been weighing on my mind how deeply connected Carlous was to so many aspects of the Quincy community. Not only did he touch lives through his work, but his roles at the Cathedral of Worship and his presence in local sports made him a cornerstone for many. The fact that he held such a trusted position in different environments—whether as a referee or a DJ—speaks volumes about his character and how many people trusted and enjoyed being around him. It must be incredibly painful for those who knew him to see someone with so much positivity and community involvement taken away so violently. The mistrial must have been particularly frustrating and emotionally taxing for his family and friends who are yearning for closure. Maintaining faith and patience through such complex legal proceedings is no small task. My thoughts go out to the Wires family and everyone affected as they navigate this difficult journey for justice.
