Hey everyone, I recently stumbled across the case of James Franklin Shook, and something about it has been nagging at me. I've been looking into locations like Cape Lookout State Park, where his Chevy Venture was found. Has anyone else noticed the oddity about his car’s location? I mean, Cape Lookout is quite a drive from where James lived and worked. It’s not somewhere you'd typically just end up unless you had a reason or were familiar with the area, right? Also, considering his mental health history, it makes you wonder if he might’ve had some personal connection to the place – maybe it was somewhere he'd go to clear his head or for some quiet time? It’s just curious there’s no obvious link, and yet that's where his vehicle appeared. If someone from the area knows if the park has any specific features that might draw someone there unexpectedly, I’d love to hear more insights.

Has anyone else noticed how strange it is that James Shook's van was found so far from his usual commute between Sheridan and Depoe Bay? Cape Lookout State Park isn't exactly a short detour on the way to anywhere he would normally go, right? It makes me wonder if he intended to meet someone out there or if he was led or forced there. It's such a remote spot—it's not like he just took a wrong turn. And if he planned on being out there, why wouldn't his family or coworkers have any idea? Would love to know everyone else's thoughts on how his van ended up way out there. It just doesn't add up to me. ?
