Has anyone looked into whether community outreach or mentoring programs were available to Akeem and the other young men involved in this tragic incident? Losing a young life like Akeem’s is a terrible loss, not just for his family and friends but the whole community. He had so much potential with his skills in electronics and music, and he was cherished by so many. I just wonder if there might have been warning signs or opportunities to intervene that were missed. It’s important we think about how to support our youth to prevent these kinds of tragedies. What could be done to provide guidance and support to at-risk young individuals? Thoughts and insights appreciated.
