Has anyone else been struck by the fact that George Korchev was just starting his life and career when this senseless act took him away? My heart goes out to his family and friends. He had just passed his nursing board exams and was about to make such a positive impact in the healthcare field. It's devastating to think of all the lives he would have touched and helped as a nurse. Being a bystander caught in such a tragic situation is something that none of us could ever prepare for. I can’t help but feel frustrated that someone with a history of violence was able to cause such destruction. This is a tough reminder that we need to advocate for measures that prevent people with violent pasts from continuing to hurt others. George will be remembered for the kindness and promise he brought into this world. Sending thoughts of support to everyone who knew him.
