I've been following the case of Ira and Tommie Moore, and one thing that really sticks out to me is the apparent familiarity between the couple and their accused murderer, Roger Scoby. It's so unsettling to think that someone who seemed to have built a friendship with Ira could commit such an atrocious act. I can't help but wonder what went wrong for Scoby to "lose control" as he claims. It's frightening that he managed to exploit that trust to get close to them in their own home. My heart goes out to the family and friends left behind, trying to make sense of such a devastating betrayal. It makes me really question the oversight in hiring processes for hospital workers dealing closely with vulnerable individuals. Have safety protocols been improved since this incident? Surely, some lessons must have been learned to prevent another tragedy like this. Thoughts and discussions from folks in similar professions would be enlightening.
