Has anyone else been following the tragic case of Rodolfo Rocha Jr.? It's just incredibly sad to see how an innocent life was taken due to senseless gang violence. I was reading about how Joe McMahon, the Kane County State’s Attorney, talked about the importance of these convictions in sending a message against gang activity. It’s reassuring to know that the justice system is working hard to make communities like Aurora safer for everyone. It’s just a small comfort, though, when thinking about what Rocha’s family must be going through. It breaks my heart that gathering with friends and family could end in such a tragedy. Hopefully, the lengthy sentences for Garcia and Medina can deter future violence and prevent another family from experiencing such suffering.
Has anyone else been thinking about the role the Aurora community played in supporting Rodolfo Rocha Jr.'s family during such a difficult time? From what I've gathered, it seems like they really rallied around them after the tragic incident.
