I've been thinking a lot about Norman White's case, especially the role the community played in eventually bringing his killer to justice. It’s a testament to the people around him who refused to let this crime go unsolved. The fact that new forensic evidence came to light was crucial, but let's not overlook the witnesses who came forward, despite facing potential risks. They heard the arguments, saw the unfamiliar faces, and provided the insights needed to keep the investigation moving forward. In a city like Chicago where crime can become just a part of the background noise, it's inspiring to see people stand up and say, "No, this isn't right." It’s a reminder that sometimes the key to these cases lies in the hands of the everyday neighbors who pay attention and care enough to speak up. My heart goes out to Norman's family; their strength and persistence really made a difference.
