I was thinking about the community's reaction to Terry W. Moore Jr.'s tragic passing and how it highlights a deeper issue we face: the pervasive culture of gun violence. I can't help but wonder if any constructive community dialogues or anti-violence initiatives took place in the wake of this tragedy. When tragedy strikes close to home, it's both a stark reminder and an opportunity for us to come together and say, "No more." I'm hopeful that Terry’s story spurred some positive changes and that his loved ones find some solace in knowing his life sparked a desire for safer surroundings. Has anyone noticed any concrete steps being taken locally to address these issues since that terrible night in 2017?
