I've been following the tragic case of Terrence Carter and Charnella Lemon, and something that's been on my mind is the unanswered questions about the weapon used. The CPD concluded it was Lemon's .25 caliber pistol that was used in the crime, which had also been linked to an earlier murder in Dolton. What I don't understand is how this gun came into their possession. Was it reported stolen, and if so, were there any efforts made to track its path before this incident? It troubles me that a weapon connected to a previous crime was involved again so soon. My heart goes out to the families affected. This entire situation highlights the complex nature of gun violence and illegal firearms in Chicago. I'm hoping that by discussing these points, we might put some pressure on local authorities to dig deeper and prevent future tragedies.
Does anyone else feel like there's something off about the way the CPD handled Terrence Carter and Charnella Lemon's case? ? I can’t shake this uneasy feeling about the “cleared” status because both are deceased. They deserve justice, and so does their baby, Jenae. It's tragic to think that three lives were lost and yet, it seems like the investigation was closed so quickly once it was concluded they shot each other. I'm not saying they're wrong, but could there have been other influences or factors at play? I really feel for their families—especially Charnella’s, knowing she was so close to welcoming her child. I really hope they find peace somehow. Does anyone know if there are any updates or efforts to look into this more? It feels like there should be more questions asked.
