Anyone else really moved by the courage of the witness who came forward in Gregory Petty’s case? It’s not easy to stand up in such a dangerous situation, especially when gun violence has become so pervasive in neighborhoods like Lawndale. This person’s bravery in reporting what they saw was crucial in bringing some measure of accountability. It’s heartening to see folks in the community willing to take that step, even amid all the fear and uncertainty. My thoughts go out to Gregory's family and friends, as well as everyone in the neighborhood affected by this tragedy. Here’s hoping that more people can find the strength to come forward in similar situations, so we might inch closer to safer streets and justice.
