I’ve been following the case of Daijon K. Sistrunk and just can't stop thinking about the devastation his family must feel. He seemed to have a bright future ahead, with his studies and music passion really standing out. It’s so difficult to comprehend how someone on that kind of life path could be taken away in such a senseless act of violence. Being on a party bus, celebrating, just like any young person would when tragedy struck—it's unimaginable. His involvement in the community and the relationships he built through his education and work at Lowe’s paint a picture of a promising life cut short. My thoughts are with Daijon’s family and friends as they navigate this incredibly painful time. It’s important we remember Daijon for the light he brought to those around him, instead of the circumstances of his death.
