In the summer of 2021, a senseless act of violence cut short the life of 17-year-old Daniel Tovar-Moreno, a Hispanic/Latino male. On the evening of July 7th, in the parking lot of an AMC movie theater in Bellevue, Washington, a confrontation ended in tragedy. Daniel was shot at point-blank range with a sawed-off shotgun, the blast to his chest proving fatal. He was rushed to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, but succumbed to his injuries.
