I've been following the tragic case of Vic Fenner, and something that's been on my mind is the culture of silence that can exist in neighborhoods like the one where he was killed. It's devastating to think about how fear and distrust can prevent witnesses from speaking up, especially when coming forward might mean the difference between justice being served or the case going cold. It's crucial to consider how we as a community, alongside law enforcement, can create safer spaces where those who have information feel protected and supported enough to share what they know. My heart goes out to Vic's family—no one should have to suffer the uncertainty of unanswered questions in the wake of such a violent loss. I hope that one day, individuals who might have been nearby on that fateful day will find the courage to step forward, helping to bring some peace to those grieving and affected by Vic's death.
