Forum Posts for Derric Smith: Be respectful. Abuse of these forums will not be tolerated.
I've been following the case of Derric Smith and wanted to raise a question that's been bothering me. I can't stop thinking about how Derrick Smith actually stopped to take a photo of Derric's body after committing such a horrific crime. What mindset must you be in to do something like that? Not only is it incredibly disrespectful to Derric and his loved ones, but it seems to point to a level of callousness that's chilling. Can anyone shed light on whether there are psychological factors that could explain this kind of behavior, or are we just looking at someone with absolutely no empathy or remorse? My thoughts are with Derric's family as they try to cope with the loss and all the disturbing details surrounding the case.
