I came across the case of Zacchaeus D. Battle, and it really hit me how frustratingly common these stories are becoming in places like West Englewood. It's so painful to read about another young life taken too soon, and yet, details seem so scarce. Why aren’t we hearing more about these cases? It feels like his story is just being lost in the noise, which is really upsetting for anyone who cares about making our communities safer. I think it’s important that we keep bringing attention to these cases so that Zacchaeus and others like him aren’t forgotten. Has anyone heard any updates about any community initiatives in that area, or changes in police engagement since this happened? Would love to know if there's a way we can support something positive coming from this tragedy.
