Steven E. Whitenight Jr., 30, vanished from Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania, in the early morning hours of January 14, 2016. He was on his newspaper delivery route at about 3:30 a.m., a second job he held in addition to working at a Domino’s Pizza. A portion of the papers he was due to deliver were later found on the porch of his West Main Street home.
Steven’s white 1997 Ford Probe GT was recovered near the Bloomsburg Municipal Airport on Airport Road with his cell phone and the keys left in the ignition. He was last seen wearing an orange hunting jacket, a dark blue Denver Broncos hooded sweatshirt over his Domino’s work shirt, black pants, black sneakers, a Denver Broncos knit cap, and eyeglasses. A single set of footprints in the snow led from the car onto a nearby bridge over the Susquehanna River and then stopped; searches of the river turned up no clues.
He reportedly had a history of short absences, but none approaching this length. There has been no activity on his bank accounts since that morning, and the Bloomsburg Police Department continues to investigate. Does anyone have information about Steven’s route that night or recall seeing him or his car near the airport or river on January 14, 2016?
