Hey everyone, I've been thinking a lot about the role of community support in tragedies like the one that took Addison, Mason, and Derrick from us. We often focus on the immediate horror and sadness, but I think it's crucial that we also talk about the small acts of kindness and solidarity that help us cope in the aftermath. In the weeks following the loss, the West Rogers Park neighborhood really came together, organizing vigils and outreach programs. From what I've learned, several neighbors who didn’t even know the Sanders family personally took the time to help others process this tragedy, offering emotional support and resources. It’s these moments that remind me of our shared humanity and the importance of looking out for one another, even when we’re unsure how to navigate our own grief. It doesn't fill the void left by Addison and Mason, but it’s a testament to the strength within communities. Has anyone else noticed similar acts of kindness in their own communities during times of loss? I’d love to hear any positive stories, no matter how small. We need to keep these conversations going to honor Addi, Mason, and all victims of such tragedies.
