I’ve been thinking about Eliyahu Moscowitz’s murder and how profoundly it must have impacted his community, especially given the timing on Simchat Torah. For those who might not know, this holiday is all about joy and celebration in Jewish tradition. Considering Eliyahu was someone who was known for his dedication to his faith, it's especially difficult to process that his life was taken on such a day of significance. It's just so devastating to think about how his family and community must have felt in the days following his loss. I really hope there’s some progress soon in finding this “Duck Walk Killer.” The fact that someone can commit such heinous acts and just disappear into the night is terrifying. We should keep sharing information in hopes that something finally leads to an arrest. Thoughts are with those who knew and loved Eliyahu and Douglass Watts. This must be such a painful time for all involved.
