Has anyone else been thinking about the broader implications of Kenjuan Scott's case and how it reflects on Englewood's struggle with gun violence? It's tremendously sad to see how these neighborhoods suffered that weekend, with 43 people shot, five losing their lives. It almost feels like reading a report from a warzone. Kenjuan was just 23, and had his entire life ahead of him, as did the woman who was injured alongside him. I can't even imagine what their families are going through. It's important for us as a community to not only keep their memory alive but also push for solutions that could prevent such senseless acts in the future. What do you all think could be done to address these issues more effectively? Would love to hear any positive initiatives you've heard of or been involved in.
