I know he was drinking with friends that night. How intoxicated was he if at all? The more intoxicated he was the more likely he may have gone swimming. Alcohol lowers your decision making skills. It is just sad he has 3 kids that just don't know where their dad is.

Hey everyone, I was scrolling through some of the old posts in the forum about Michael David VanZandt, and something that often gets glossed over is the fact that his phone died around 10:30 p.m. that night. Seems like such a minor detail, but it’s got me wondering—how crucial are those missing digital footprints? I feel like our phones hold so much of our lives now, and in cases like these, a simple phone charge or use could potentially offer more clues.
Given that he was last seen on surveillance an hour later, what do you all think about the possibility that he may not have reached a power source at all in that time frame? Could this be an indication of something going wrong much earlier than we might think? It seems strange that he didn't try to find a charger or borrow someone else's phone considering it was so early in the night. If anyone has thoughts or theories about the role of his phone in this situation, I'd love to hear them!
