I've been closely following the investigation into Deserie Flowers' tragic murder, and what haunts me is the possible involvement of her ex-boyfriend in this. It's incredibly unsettling to think that someone who was once close to her could be connected to such a violent act. Deserie was clearly trying to seek safety with her sister, which tells us a lot about how fearful she must have felt.
It's so frustrating that despite having a suspect in custody, there were no charges. It feels like the justice system is failing her and her family.
