Hey everyone,
I came across Qundan "Jenny" Chen’s case while browsing through discussions, and something that stands out to me is how little support there seems to be from local authorities in these cases, especially when someone goes missing in a foreign country. It really makes me wonder how people like Jonathan Reinhard manage to keep pushing forward when faced with so many roadblocks.
I’ve read about other cases where language barriers and jurisdiction issues create huge delays in investigations. I mean, Jonathan even reached out to the embassies of two countries, but progress is still painstakingly slow. It’s frustrating to think that families have to rely so heavily on fundraising just to hire investigators or organize searches themselves.
These situations highlight a bigger issue about how cases are handled when citizens go missing abroad. Do any of you know of similar cases that were solved eventually? I feel like we need to keep talking about these issues to push for better international cooperation. Hoping some of you have insights or stories that can shed more light on this.
Stay safe out there!
