I was thinking about how Henry Daniels' life was dedicated to uplifting his community, and how unbelievable it is that such a light was extinguished in such a violent way. It's deeply unsettling that his murder remains unsolved and those responsible are still out there. Henry's passion for helping young people stay out of gangs and choose a better path speaks volumes about his character. It's just so appalling that someone who spent his time promoting peace met such a violent end. East Garfield Park lost a tremendous advocate, and it feels like his absence has left a gaping hole in the community. I hope that justice is served soon, not just for Henry and his family, but also for the neighborhood that still feels his absence every day. If anyone has information, no matter how small it seems, it could be a crucial piece in solving this case and bringing some sense of closure. Sending thoughts to his family and everyone whose lives he touched.
