Just read about Oliver Booth's case, and my heart goes out to his family and community. It's so painful to see someone’s life cut short like this, especially during what should be a time of celebration. The Fourth of July should be a moment of unity and joy, not fear and sorrow. My thoughts are with the woman who was injured as well; I hope she's finding some peace after such a traumatic event. I can't help but think about the ripple effect events like this have. It's not just Oliver's family, but the whole Austin neighborhood and beyond feeling the weight of this tragedy. It’s infuriating how these incidents keep happening despite efforts to stop the violence. Is there anything more we can do to make our communities safer? What kind of changes would actually make a difference so that fewer families have to go through such pain?
