Desmond Curry's murder really has me thinking about the role community trust plays in solving these kinds of cases. In many neighborhoods, people might have valuable information but are hesitant to come forward due to fear of retaliation or distrust in law enforcement. It’s so important for the police to work on building bridges within the Austin neighborhood to encourage those who might know something to speak up. Desmond was clearly loved by so many, and his family deserves to see justice served. I can't imagine the pain they're going through, knowing the person responsible is still out there. If anyone here has insights on how community-police relationships can be improved in situations like this, I’d love to hear your thoughts. Hopefully, we can spark some ideas that lead to real change for cases like Desmond's.
