I’ve been following Robert Scott’s case and it’s just been so heavy to think about the community impact of his loss. What caught my attention was the approach his family took with the civil lawsuit against the city. It really makes you question how local governments are addressing the ongoing gang violence. I mean, I get it, resources are limited, but isn’t reducing such violence a priority? Robert’s family isn’t just seeking justice for him—they’re demanding systemic changes that could protect others. It’s such a tough situation all around. Does anyone else think this lawsuit might actually push for change? There have been too many losses. Robert deserves to be more than another statistic.
