Has anyone else looked into the connection between the illegal gambling at the party and what happened to Dontrez? It’s awful to think that a simple night out could lead to such a tragic outcome. I read that there were people gambling on both the sidewalk and inside that night. Could this have caused any tensions or conflicts? It's like those involved in these activities aren’t realizing the ripple effect their actions can have. Makes you wonder if someone got upset over a game or lost money and things escalated. It's just so sad for Dontrez and his family, thinking he was planning to settle in Decatur for a fresh start. My heart goes out to them during this incredibly difficult time. I hope more people come forward with info to help piece this all together.
